The 22nd China Hi-tech Fair (CHTF), which was held in Shenzhen from Nov 11 to 15, came to an end successfully on Sunday. With the theme of “Transforming the future with technology and driving development with innovation,” this year’s event featured a series of activities spanning exhibitions, conferences, forums, technical exchanges, and cooperation negotiations.
With a total exhibition area of 142,000 square meters, the 22nd CHTF had 3,349 exhibitors participating in it. A total of 9,018 hi-tech products were displayed, covering artificial intelligence, smart homes, smart manufacturing, the Internet of Things (IoT), smart driving, the Internet of Vehicles (IoV), commercial 5G, 8K UHD, blockchain technology, new generation information technology, big data, cloud computing, emergency security, and other cutting-edge fields.
A total of 109 delegations from 53 countries and international organizations participated in the fair, including 24 countries participating on site and 29 countries participating online. Delegations of 30 provinces and cities, including Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangdong, as well as 27 well-known colleges and universities showcased a variety of scientific research results. A total of 176 high-level forums, professional technical forums, industry salons, and technical conferences were held.
The scientific and technological achievements of the 13th Five-Year Plan period (2016-20) were unveiled at the fair, while professional exhibitions around the layout of key industries during the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2020-25) were carried out, focusing on showing the progress of strategic emerging industries, infrastructure construction, and digital development.
Multinational companies and leading companies, as well as unicorns or quasi-unicorn companies actively participated in the fair. Exhibitors from home and abroad brought a total of 1,790 new products and 767 new technologies, while 61 release events for new products and technologies were also held during the exhibition.
The high-tech fair showcased the rich application scenarios of high-technology in epidemic prevention and control, displaying smart epidemic prevention related products and technologies, as well as establishing an IT anti-epidemic exhibition area.
Moreover, 760 investment institutions, as well as nearly 400 domestic and overseas scientific research institutions, universities, and innovation centers participated in the event, holding a total of 356 project matching activities.
The high-tech fair also set up an online exhibition and carried out 360-degree panoramic displays of the on-site exhibitions. About 3,000 exhibitors participated in the online exhibition simultaneously, while an additional 173 overseas companies participated remotely.
High-tech projects from Norway, Iran, Sweden, Hungary, Russia, as well as other countries and regions participated in online project financing roadshows, one-on-one online business negotiations, and remote project promotion meetings. The online exhibition accumulated more than 2 million visitors during the five-day event.
